My Personal Tips To Get More Courageous
1. Get Over It
I know you expect me to be soft and gentle, but life is about moving ahead. You don’t want to be 85 years old with so much regret.
You want to tell yourself that it was SOOOO hard and I did it anyway so, say it with me now, GET OVER IT!
2. Exercise And Move Your Body & Mind
Exercise serves as a reminder that your body can do hard things. So do some simple exercises to move your body and thoughts.
Here’s what I do daily:
- – Get some sunlight first thing in the morning
- – Hug my husband (it releases some amazing free oxytocin (feel-good hormones)
- – Go for a 10-minute walk around my neighborhood
- – Do my 30-minute strength training from YouTube right in the comfort of my living room
3. Visualize Your Ideal Day
I was casually listening to The Huberman podcast on Spotify and he had an amazing guest called Dr. Martha Beck. She talked about the ideal day of exercise.
Sounds “woo – woo” but hear me out.
Imagine your ideal day. What does it look like? How does it feel? What do you smell?
The key here is that nothing is limited. If you feel like your day starts with you having a cup of coffee with Oprah, so be it.
Let your visualizations flow and be as descriptive as you can be.
It has worked for me countless times in the past!
I used to imagine my husband coming home with a bouquet after his work.
Lo and behold, this happened to me yesterday after visualizing it last week.
See the picture below as proof!
Why Are Affirmations For Courage Important
I have to admit here, I have major anxiety over the future. I also feel like I struggle with achieving some of my goals because of this crippling fear that doesn’t even exist.
Here are some reasons why reciting these affirmations for courage helps:
- – reduce my anxiety levels
- – remind yourself of the overall goal
- – encourage your body to follow positive thoughts
Sure, negative thoughts require almost no work at all but putting a positive spin in your brain can help you achieve your goals faster.
So, here’s what I do with affirmations for courage:
- – Place one affirmation each day around the house
- – Recite it with a smile on my face
- – Envision my goals and my dream life as I recite it
It really can be that simple, guys!
Conclusion
So glad you are finally at the end of my article on affirmations for courage. I use this on my 5-year-old who struggles with being brave at school.
We recite it every morning on our way to school.
I promise you that I can feel his energy shift as I drop him off. He walks off with a bounce in his step.
I hope you get to your goals a lot closer with each affirmation and you begin living your dream life.
So, let go of those fears and embrace courage in your life!
